Fall is a great time for cooking, especially for cooking with locally grown produce! Squashes, root vegetables, greens, apples - autumn is a time of abundance in Massachusetts. In this fun, hands on class we will prepare dishes including salads, entrees, soups and desserts featuring the bounty of local farms. Recipes will be simple, delicious, easy to adapt for whatever ingredients you have on hand, and suitable for various diets (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free variations provided). We will also go over a few cooking basics like knife skills, recommended kitchen equipment, vegetable storage, and seasoning combinations.
