Learn the art of cooking delicious home-cooked meals with a professional chef. This 4 week course will introduce skills to be developed in a second course this fall, Basic Cooking - International Cuisine.

This first series of four classes is being taught by Stan Langston – with over 30 years of food experience including head chef of Stewart's Seafood Restaurant in Eastham, faculty dining room chef at the Harvard School of Government, culinary instructor at the Latham School in Brewster, and owner of Willow Tree Foods, provider of daily lunches to The Academy at Charlemont.

Here are the weekly menus Chef Langston created to teach this fall:

  1. Lobster Mac and Cheese
    Cornbread with Black Pepper and Maple Butter
    Root Vegetable Cole Slaw with Lime and Mango Dressing
  2. Marinated and Grilled Portabella Mushroom and Asiago Sandwich
    Tomato, Avocado, Cucumber, Wildberry Salad
    Oven Parmesan, Sweet Potato French Fries
  3. Miami Style Cubano Sandwiches
    Roasted Sweet Plantains
    Tomato, Cucumber, Cabbage Salad with Mango Vinaigrette
  4. Barbecue Stuffed Meatloaf
    Garlic, Carmelized Onion Smashed Potatoes
    Cornbread with Maple Lime Butter
Bring someone with you - the second person is half price (except ingredients). Locally sourced food will be used whenever possible.

Time: Wednesdays, 6 – 8:30 pm, September 26 - October 24, 2018
Individual: $150 for 4 classes (plus $72 for ingredients payable to instructor)
Couple:
 $225 for 4 classes (plus $144 for ingredients payable to instructor)
