CNC Operator Training Program

Smith Vocational Adult Education is pleased to partner with Masshire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board and Masshire Franklin Hampshire Career Center to offer an In-Demand Adult CNC Operator Program here at Smith Vocational Adult Education.  This "Hands-On" Training Program is led by experienced industry instructors.  This Training is funded by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and is FREE to those that qualify!

Trainees will learn blueprint reading, shop math, precision measuring tools and how to operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinery. 

• Employer demand for program graduates is ongoing
• Competitive wages and benefits
• Career pathways to machinist, toolmaker or CNC Programmer
• Classes start September 12, 2023 and end December 21, 2023
• Two (2) weeks of self-paced U-Online Foundational Pre-Requisite Training
• 15 Week hands-on Instructor lead on campus training, totaling 160 Hours: 4pm-8pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Training Requirements:

• Unemployed/Underemployed
• Legally able to work in the United States
• State or Federal ID
• Have transportation to training (no late evening bus service available)
• Complete basic assessment test
• Provide updated resume
• Complete all the required documentation with Career Center
• Internet Device and connection required to participate in this program
