NO SEWING SKILLS NEEDED! We will start by learning some basic sewing skills and how to use your sewing machine. There is no better way to learn sewing skills than by making a small quilt.
Come join us for some fun! We''ll be making a small quilt. It will finish at about a 40" square and we will cover all the steps from start to finish. The classes will cover all the steps in making a quilt, from cutting the fabric to attaching the binding after it is quilted. Students will need to bring a sewing machine and materials.
This course is taught by Diane Hamm. She has been quilting for over 50 years. She will provide 8 sessions that will build up to the finished product.
Prior to class, you will need to get your fabrics. All fabrics used should be quilting-weight cotton; please avoid heavier or flimsier fabrics. You can find fabrics at your local fabric shop, Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Walmart.
